Our visit to the AmmaZulu African Palace was exactly what we had been searching for, the ultimate storytelling experience. During our private tour with Alta, we were moved by the sight of handmade waistcoats, intricate pieces of beadwork that serve as “love letters.” Traditionally, a young maiden would craft these for her first love, weaving her heart into every stitch.
